Kits will allow you to check out a preselected set of equipment all at once, provided that you have all the necessary components of said Kit.
β
If you look at the Kits in our Demo instance, you'll see a New Employee Kit, demonstrating how this can be used to deploy the standard equipment that a new employee might need all in one go.
While this Kit only has two Products in it, you can always add other Products, Accessories, Consumables, and Licenses based on what you want to include.
If you're looking to add Assets to a Kit, that can only be done by selecting the Product associated with that Asset. Hence why you see the Surface Laptop 5 and Galaxy S24 Ultra, rather than a specific Asset ID. When you go to check out a Kit that contains Products, BlueTally will let you know the IDs of each Asset that was checked out so you can distribute the equipment properly. This is shown in the screenshot below:
While Kits can allow you to deploy preselected equipment to an Employee or Location all at once, the equipment will not show up as part of a Kit when viewing the Employee or Location's current equipment. Instead, it will simply show each individual item checked out to them, like you can see on this Employee page below:
Additionally, the Activity Log/Report will show these items checked out separately, albeit with almost identical timestamps.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I select specific Assets ahead when assigning a Kit to someone?
Unfortunately, this is not possible in the Kits feature's current state. Once you check out the Kit to a specific Employee, our system will tell you the Asset ID of each Asset that was deployed.
I can't click the Checkout button on one of my Kits. Why is that?
If the Checkout button is greyed out for a specific Kit, this means there aren't enough items in stock to deploy the full Kit. You'll need to check in the appropriate equipment in order to make the Kit deployable again.
How do I check a Kit back into my inventory?
There isn't an option on the Kits page to check all of the equipment back in. Instead, you'll need to go to the Employee's individual page and check in their equipment as you would anything else.
